While both shows feature a cat-and-mouse game with high stakes, Code Geass has more mecha action and a focus on political intrigue. Totally different vibes!
As a mega fan of both, I can tell you that even though they share some themes and styles, there's no direct inspiration. They're awesome in their own unique ways!
