If you're a hardcore fan, the movies diverge just enough to make them a separate canon from the TV series. Enjoy the ride, but the series is your main canon source!

The three Code Geass recap movies are mostly canon, but they change some details from the original series. The new movies like 'Lelouch of the Re;surrection' are considered an alternate timeline or continuity.

Canon? Not exactly. 'Lelouch of the Re;surrection' creates its own timeline so... alternate universe fun times!

The recap movies are close enough to canon but take some liberties. 'Lelouch of the Re;surrection' is its own thing. So, enjoy it without worrying too much about continuity!
