Nope, Monster Hunter isn't open world. It has large zones but you can't roam everywhere freely. Still fun tho!

No, it's not open world. Think segmented playground instead of one giant sandbox.

Speaking from experience, Monster Hunter's not open world. They do a great job making the maps feel expansive though!
