Nope, they aren't the same but they are related! PayPal owns Venmo, but Venmo is more for easy peer-to-peer payments while PayPal is for a wider range of transactions including business payments and international transfers.

Well, both are owned by PayPal, but Venmo is super popular for splitting bills with friends, while PayPal is kinda the all-rounder for online transactions. So, cousins, not twins!
