In Stardew Valley, your chickens feast on a simple but satisfying diet of hay. You either have to cut grass on your farm with a scythe to collect hay or buy it directly from Marnie鈥檚 Ranch. If you let them outside, they'll happily peck away at the grass, saving you the need to feed them inside the coop!
