Basically, 'no skill drain' means your character keeps all their hard-earned skills after death. Die as much as ya want without the skill penalty!
It means your Viking skills won't take a hit when you meet a grizzly end. You keep all your progress!
No skill drain=You get to keep your skills even after dying. Simple as that.
