Herring in Stardew Valley is a type of fish that players can catch while fishing in the ocean. It's available during Spring and Winter, making it a seasonal catch for those looking to complete their fish collections or fulfill quests. Plus, it's a decent source of income early in the game if you're looking to boost your gold (G).

I've been fishing in Stardew Valley for years now, and herring is my go-to when I need a quick profit or when I'm stocking up for recipes. Catching them is pretty straightforward, especially in Spring. Just make sure you've got a decent fishing rod, and paying attention to the time and season will have you hauling in herrings in no time.

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
