You use Vulkan instead of DirectX to possibly squeeze out better performance from your rig. Just launch Valheim with '-force-vulkan' in Steam to try it out!

Playing Valheim using Vulkan means you are using the Vulkan graphics API instead of the default DirectX. This can improve performance and stability, especially on some systems!
