In the first year, balance is key. Yes, plant crops (especially those that keep producing after the first harvest), but also explore, mine, and fish to break the monotony. And remember, there’s no rush. Stardew Valley is about enjoying the journey. Try to unlock the Community Center bundles; they give you goals to aim for and reward you with useful upgrades.
