What to do with Prismatic Shard in Stardew Valley
Hang onto that Prismatic Shard because it's super rare and super useful! You can use it to obtain one of the best weapons in the game, the Galaxy Sword. Just head over to the Desert while holding the Shard and then visit the center of the three pillars. Voila! Sword upgrade time! Plus, you can also use it in the Museum for a special reward or give it to the Wizard for some interesting dialogue.

Actually, selling it's not the worst idea if you're really strapped for cash. But it's like trading a diamond for a burger. Better used for unlocking that sweet, sweet Galaxy Sword or impressing Gunther at the museum.
You guys are missing the point. It's all about using it at the Desert. That Galaxy Sword isn't gonna craft itself, you know.
DON'T, and I can't stress this enough, feed it to your chickens. Use it to craft the Magic Rock Candy or to get the Galaxy Sword. It's like the Swiss Army knife of Stardew Valley.
