In Stardew Valley, cows feast on fresh grass during the spring, summer, and fall seasons. You can let them outside to graze on grass you've planted, or if they're inside or it's winter, you'll need to provide them with hay. Hay can be obtained by either cutting grass with a scythe or buying it from Marnie's Ranch. Just make sure to stock up for the winter!

Don't forget, cows love that hay in winter or when they can't go outside! Get it from Marnie鈥檚 shop or cut some grass.

Hay is the way to go, especially in winter. But honestly, grass is cheaper and they love it more. Make sure your silo is stocked!

Just let them eat grass, lol, why complicate it? Only need hay for winter or rainy days.
