You can buy staircases in Stardew Valley as soon as you unlock the Mine. Head on over to the Mine once you get there and you'll find that you can buy a staircase for 99 stones from the Dwarf. Super handy for those deep dive mining days when you just want to skip the hassle and get down faster.
