When do trolls attack in Valheim?
In my experience, trolls in Valheim tend to attack when you're wandering around the Black Forest, especially near troll caves.

Trolls usually spawn and patrol the Black Forest. They normally won't attack unless you get too close or start a fight with them.
Trolls tend to roam around the Black Forest and will definitely attack if you come within their aggro radius!
Hot take: Trolls attacking is just RNG if you stumble into their turf. Stay out of the Black Forest if you don't wanna fight one!
