Eels in Stardew Valley are a bit slippery but you can catch them if you know when and where. They bite during Spring and Fall, but only when it’s raining. Check the ocean from 4 pm to 2 am – that’s their favorite time to swim near the surface.
Tried catching eels on a sunny day. Big mistake. Remember: rainy days, Spring/Fall, after 4 pm. Don't make my mistake, folks.
