Honestly, finding the Gem Birds is more about the chase than the actual location. It keeps you on your toes with the seasons — a perfect excuse to explore every nook and cranny of Stardew Valley year-round.
The Gem Birds in Stardew Valley are part of the quest ‘A Curious Substance.’ You can find them in different locations depending on the season. In Spring, look near the large boulder to the west of the Spa. In Summer, it's by the southern bench in Cindersap Forest. Fall brings one to the east of the JojaMart, and in Winter, you'll find it on the Beach, left of the bridge leading to the tidal pools.
