You can find hardwood in Stardew Valley by chopping down the large stumps and logs on your farm and in the Secret Woods. The Secret Woods, northwest of Cindersap Forest, is a hotspot for these, offering a daily respawn of large stumps that drop hardwood when chopped.

Hardwood stash alert! Secret Woods and your own farm's large stumps are your go-to. Don't miss the occasional hardwood from treasure chests when fishing or from specific artifact spots. ??

Just smash the large logs and stumps on your farm or take a trip to the Secret Woods. Loads of hardwood waiting for you there!
