For real, just hit up the Secret Woods daily. Those stumps respawn every day, giving you a steady hardwood income. Plus, you get to fight slimes. Who doesn't want that?

Hot take but upgrading your axe feels like a drag at first, but once you slice through those stumps like butter, it's totally worth it!

Hardwood in Stardew Valley is a bit trickier to find than regular wood, but don't worry, you've got options! The most common way is to chop down the large stumps and logs you find in the Secret Woods, just west of the Wizard's Tower. You'll need to upgrade your axe to at least steel quality to break those. Another sneaky source is the large logs on your farm, which also require a steel axe. Keep an eye on those daily forest explorations, as you might stumble upon some hardwood without even trying!

Don't forget about those treasure chests in the mines and fishing chests! You can sometimes snag some hardwood from there, making it feel like hitting a mini jackpot.
