Coal in Stardew Valley can be found in a few ways. The most common method is mining it from rocks inside the mines. You usually find it once you start hitting levels that have the black rocks, usually from level 40 onwards. Another way is by breaking open geodes, which you can get from mining or from the Omni Geodes bought at the Oasis. Dust sprites in the icy levels of the mines (40-79) also drop coal frequently. Don't forget, if you're in a pinch, you can always buy it from Clint, the blacksmith!

Mining? Too much effort. Just buy it from Clint or get a Charcoal Kiln.

If you hate mining, just set up a ton of charcoal kilns and keep recycling wood into coal. Boom, endless supply!

For real, just farm those Dust Sprites between levels 40-79. Best way to get coal plus, they鈥檙e kinda cute in a creepy way.
