Iridium ore in Stardew Valley is like the unicorn of minerals, elusive but totally worth the hunt. Your best bet? Delve deep into the Skull Cavern in the Desert. The deeper you go, the higher your chances. Also, keep an eye out for those purple slimes – they sometimes drop iridium ore when defeated. And if farming's more your style, slap some Iridium Bars together to make a Crystalarium and stick an Iridium Ore in there.

As someone who's spent way too many hours in Stardew Valley, fishing treasure chests is an underrated way to stumble upon iridium ore. Plus, it's a nice break from the mines and you get to improve your fishing skill. Win-win!

Hot take, but honestly, don't sweat the iridium ore too much early on. Focus on upgrading your tools and making your farm efficient. By the time you're ready to tackle the Skull Cavern, you'll gather iridium more easily. Plus, sometimes the Traveling Cart lady sells it on Fridays and Sundays. It's rare, but it happens.
