Shad are a bit tricky but you can catch them in one spot for sure: the river. Make sure it's raining though, they love that rainy weather. They'll bite any time from 9 AM to 2 AM, so no need to rush out of bed early.

Honestly, just buy it from the Traveling Cart if fishing's not your thing. No shame, I鈥檝e done it.

You're fishing for Shad all wrong if it ain't raining. River's where it's at - spring, summer, or fall. Caught my biggest one during a storm, trust me!

Shad? Just hit up the river during a rainstorm, but only between Spring and Fall. They don't seem to like Winter much.
