Gus killed Victor because Victor was seen at the crime scene where Gale was murdered, drawing too much attention to their operation.
Gus killed Victor to show everyone that no one's indispensable and to maintain control over his empire.
Victor got sloppy and attracted heat to the operation. Gus couldn鈥檛 trust him anymore. Simple as that.
