Season 2 of Blue Exorcist ignores most of the events from the last part of Season 1, especially the anime-original story arc. It's essentially a reset that follows the manga more closely!

Season 2 makes sense if you realize it picks up right after the Kyoto Arc in the manga, pretending the latter half of Season 1 didn't happen.

Hot take: Season 2 makes complete sense if you read the manga. That's it.

As a longtime fan, I'll say it: the anime goes back to the manga storyline, so just forget anything after episode 17 in Season 1.

If you're a Blue Exorcist fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
