First off, make sure you actually equipped the Wishbone! It only works when it's in your inventory and activated.

Double check that you're near a treasure or silver vein. The Wishbone won't react if there's nothing nearby to detect.

Hot take: Maybe you’re in the wrong biome? Wishbone works best in the Mountains biome for finding silver.

Sometimes the game can be a bit buggy. Try logging out and then logging back in. Fixed a few issues for me.
