Why is cross Tekken bad?

A lot of fans didn't like the art style mashup and felt the Tekken characters didn't translate well into the Street Fighter engine.

Street Fighter x Tekken got flak mostly because it felt unbalanced and had that gem system which was confusing and unfair for many players.
