Why is Valheim Laggy?

Valheim can be laggy because it's a resource-heavy game, especially when you have large, intricate builds and a lot of players on a server. Try lowering your graphics settings or increasing your RAM allocation if you're hosting.

From my experience, it’s usually the multiplayer servers. When too many players join or do crazy things, the server struggles. Stick to a smaller group if you can.

Mods can also cause lag in Valheim. If you're using mods, try disabling them one by one to see if it improves performance.

I find Valheim only lags when my internet connection is unstable. Make sure your Wi-Fi isn’t being hogged by other devices or try using a wired connection.
