Just uninstall and reinstall. Works every time.
Mine did the same thing! Turned out, I just needed to free up some space on my iPhone. Geometry Dash and other games can act weird when your storage is almost full. Deleted some old pics and bam, it worked perfectly.
Sounds like a device issue to me. Geometry Dash is solid. Never had a problem on my end.
