Tekken 5 stayed exclusive to PlayStation 2 probably because of a deal between Namco and Sony. PlayStation fans got lucky!

Because Namco loved PlayStation more? ;) Seriously, it was mostly about exclusivity deals and market strategy.

Namco focused on the PS2 for Tekken 5 due to its larger user base and existing partnership with Sony. Xbox players got the short end of the stick!
